On September 3, 1942, in Lima, Ohio, a future architect of California sound was born: Alan Charles Jardine, better known as Al Jardine, founding member of The Beach Boys. Jardine’s musical journey began with a love for folk music, but destiny had other plans. After reconnecting with Brian Wilson at El Camino College in 1961, Jardine joined forces with the Wilson brothers, Mike Love, and David Marks to form The Beach Boys.
