Exotic In-SPUR-ation Cocktail
with COCKSPUR Rum by Tikimon
Ingredients:
- 1 oz Fresh lime Juice
- 1 oz Passion Fruit Juice
- 1/2 oz Farlernum
- 1/2 oz Ginger Syrup
- 1/4 oz Maple Syrup
- 1/4 oz Maraschino Liqueur
- 6 Drops Cinnamon Syrup
- Dash of Angostura Bitters
- 2 oz Cockspur “Fine” Rum
- 1 oz Cockspur “VSOR” Rum
- 4 oz crushed Ice
Garnish:
- Maraschino cherry
Instructions:
Blend all ingredients at high speed for 5 seconds. Pour into a Tiki Mug or DOF Glass, fill to top with crushed ice. Garnish with a Maraschino cherry. It will inspire you to reach new heights!
How to make the Ginger Syrup:
Ingredients:
- 8 oz fresh ginger root (2 pieces, each about 10 inches long)
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups water
Instructions:
Peel the ginger root with a vegetable peeler, and cut into thin rounds. Bring the sugar and water to a boil over medium high heat. Add the sliced ginger and bring the mixture back up to a simmer. Remove from heat and allow to steep for at least 30 minutes. Strain syrup through fine mesh. Discard ginger. Keep the syrup for a month refrigerated in an airtight container.
How to make the Cinnamon Simple Syrup:
Ingredients:
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups water
Instructions:
In a small sauce pot add water and cinnamon and bring to boil. Simmer for 10 minutes, and strain out cinnamon sticks. Bring water back to a boil, add sugar and stir until sugar is dissolved.
