Backstory:
Legend says the Wind God of Ohanui Island brews this potion at dusk to paint the sky with lavender clouds and lull the waves to sleep. One sip, and you’ll hear distant conch shells and feel the breeze whisper tales in forgotten tongues…
Ingredients:
- 2 oz guava nectar
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 3/4 oz lavender simple syrup (recipe below)
- 1 oz coconut water
- 2 dashes orange blossom water (optional, but magical)
- Crushed ice
- Edible flowers, starfruit slice, or mint sprig for garnish
Lavender Simple Syrup:
Combine 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar, and 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer, stir until sugar dissolves, then steep 15 minutes. Strain and cool.
Instructions:
- In a shaker, add guava nectar, lime juice, lavender syrup, coconut water, and orange blossom water.
- Shake well with ice until chilled and lightly frothy.
- Pour into a tiki mug or tall glass filled with crushed ice.
- Garnish with something whimsical—edible flower, starfruit, or even a paper parasol kissed with glitter (if you're feeling theatrical).
