Helmed by Jeffrey “Cap’n” Cook, who commandeered a stellar crew of longtime musical pals from Pacific Northwest staples The Ukadelics and Lushy, Tropical Itch delivers an irresistible blend of breezy island harmonies, snappy retro percussion, and upbeat vintage pop that feels right at home alongside a freshly garnished Mai Tai.
The Main Event: Let's Dance "The Hula Twist"
Tiki culture is all about total sensory transport—dim amber lamps, bamboo textures, complex rums, and soundscapes that carry you straight to an exotic mid-century hideaway. With Let's Dance "The Hula Twist", Tropical Itch dishes out pure sunny retro fun, bridging golden-era exotica, vintage hapa haole swing, and energetic early-1960s twist grooves.
Whether you're hosting a packed luau or unwinding behind your personal home tiki bar, this record serves up an instant party atmosphere with plenty of personality and humor.
