OCEANSIDE, CA – The waves won’t be the only thing making noise this September as the Super Girl Surf Pro returns to Oceanside for its 19th annual celebration of women’s empowerment through sport, music, and culture. Running from September 19 to 21, 2025, the free, all-ages festival will once again transform the Oceanside Pier into a vibrant arena of athleticism and artistry.
At the heart of the event is the highly anticipated surf competition, the only World Surf League (WSL) WQS 5000 women’s event in the United States. More than 140 of the world’s top female surfers are expected to compete, including rising stars and seasoned pros, all vying for critical qualifying points and a chance to make their mark on the global stage.
But Super Girl Surf Pro is more than just a surf contest – it’s a full-scale festival celebrating women’s achievements across multiple disciplines. The weekend will feature a dynamic concert series with over a dozen live performances on the SMKFLWER Stage, showcasing a mix of indie, pop, and alternative acts. Past headliners have included artists like Bishop Briggs and Ceelo Green, and this year’s lineup promises to deliver another high-energy soundtrack to the weekend.
Festivalgoers can also explore a sprawling Festival Village packed with interactive experiences, including a female-led esports tournament, a DJ competition, wellness classes, motivational panels, and a curated marketplace of women-owned businesses. A beer garden and diverse food court will keep attendees fueled throughout the festivities.
“This event is about more than surfing – it’s about creating a platform for women to shine in every arena,” said event director Rick Bratman. “Whether it’s in the water, on stage, or behind the scenes, Super Girl Surf Pro is a celebration of strength, creativity, and community.”
The Super Girl Surf Pro is free to attend and open to the public!
