From July 26 to August 3, 2025, the golden sands of Huntington Beach, California – affectionately known as Surf City USA – will once again host the world’s largest surf competition, the Lexus US Open of Surfing presented by Pacifico. This iconic event is more than just a surf contest – it’s a full-blown celebration of beach culture, action sports, and community spirit.

A Legacy of Surfing Excellence

Since its inception in 1959, the US Open of Surfing has evolved into a global phenomenon. Originally known as the United States Surfing Championships, and later the OP Pro, the event has consistently drawn the world’s top surfers to Huntington Beach’s famously consistent waves. Since 1994, it has carried the US Open name, becoming a cornerstone of the international surf calendar.

What to Expect in 2025

This year’s event promises a dynamic mix of  elite surfing, live music, and extreme sports:

  • World-Class Surfing: Watch top-tier athletes from around the globe compete in the World Surf League-sanctioned competition.
  • X Games Vert Pro: Skateboarding takes center stage with gravity-defying tricks on the vert ramp.
  • Beach Bar Stage**: Enjoy daily live music performances and beachside vibes.
  • Interactive Brand Activations: Explore booths from leading action sports brands offering games, giveaways, and product demos.
